Innocence
The main threats facing mountain gorillas today are habitat degradation and loss due to mining, logging and agriculture; and diseases, most notably Ebola. These factors are further exacerbated by conflict and poor governance in many of the remaining gorilla strongholds. Mountain gorillas cannot control the impact of these threats and are innocent. Thankfully organisations like The Gorilla Doctors work tirelessly to protect and care for these majestic great apes in their natural habitats offering hope to their survival.
